....that in the wonderful world of porn there's a category for "ugly"? yes: there's a niche market for just about everything, but during my most recent peek at a website's selection of porno films, there was the aforementioned category.

i had vinnie click on it, just for curiosity's sake. the titles of the movies were as follows: "butterface"-(in multiple volumes of course), "revenge of the butter face", "weathered meat", and "ugly girls need horsecock too".

for those of you who don't know, a "butterface" is a term that is used to describe that a woman is "hot" with the exception of her face...y'know--"that bitch sure is smokin, but her face...ick". get it?

i looked at the covers of these porns expecting to see women with troublesome acne, wandering eyes, and hairlips, but found nothing of the sort. there was a woman on one of the covers who had an enormous gap between her teeth and some bad hair, but the ladies weren't unattractive. it made me think of how the porn industry must create a standard for ugly. ever seen "not another teen movie?" if you haven't you won't get the joke but it goes like this: "ewww, there's the ugly girl. she's wearing a pony tail, and has on glasses!"

i mean what should i expect? i enjoy looking at porn that has fuller figured women-(finding the erotic in a body like mine). and they call some of the titles, "scale bustin' babes"-(in multiple volumes of course--i was watching #12 today in honor of national masturbation month. very hot stuff with the exception of the male actor who was silence-of-the-lambs creepy, and i half expected him to say something like: "...do you wear a size 14?"--what's new?), "hog farm" etc. and these women are just chunky, they aren't super-sized as the titles indicate. makes me think the titles that the industry would use on a woman that was big. it's so frustrating how demeaning the porn industry is, when it shouldn't be at all. expressing ones self sexually is beautiful and hot. i guess things won't change until more women like belladonna take over producing and writing movies. if you've never seen her work, it rocks. my only criticism is the exclusion of BBW from her films.

so out of the world of porn, and into the world of employment. i had a job interview today. the position is for case management, specifically working as a liason with disenfranchised families to connect them with community services. the interview went really well and the job seems to be up my alley. i enjoy my current job, but i long to find something with consistent hours-(I HATE WORKING GRAVEYARD SHIFT, THEN SWITCHING TO DAYS FOR 6 MONTHS), i yearn to find something closer to home, in light of the prices of gasoline-(i drive 30 miles one way to work), and call me crazy but it would be nice if i could actually spend a friday night off with my husband. i've been able to enjoy this past shabbat, but it makes me sad because i wish i could honor shabbat EVERY WEEK. if i make the cut for the second interview, that's diamond. if i'm offered the job and they can pay me what i'm earning now, even better. if not, then that's cool too. it wasn't meant to be and i have something that is secure. i'll just have to give it to g-d and see what happens.

speaking of god, happy lag b'omer to fellow jews. this is a rabbinical holdiay noting the first sheath of grain, and transitions for shavuot. i wouldn't know anything about this first outcrop of grain because it has been raining so hard here that my garden is under water. i'm afraid it won't survive. one determined nasturtium seems to be making it's way, and my compost pile rocks.
