the vermin are back

well, soon the town will be overflowing with vermin. yes, the students are trickling back, but i suspect the big 'boom' will be in another week. they will make a huge mess during the academic year, and then leave the town for all of us locals to clean up during the summer. that's the pain in the ass of living in a college town. i realize the university is largely responsible for the influx of creativity and culture, i just fucking hate the students.

and to think that at one time i wanted to be a student at IU. i'm really happy i was rejected from every program.

my buddy jawzie is visiting from michigan. i took her to the monroe reservoir to look for geodes. i don't have a specific agenda, but i'm gonna take her around town and show her why (in spite of the students) this town fucking rocks.

the art opening went really well, and i think the local paper wants to write about it. i'm not expecting anything though because anytime i think something great is gonna happen for me PR wise, it doesn't, and i end up being depressed. so it's just better for me to not expect anything at all. isn't it funny how shit turns out when you quit expecting things to happen?
