is there any such thing as 'bad' chineese food?

yes, there is such a thing as bad chineese. it's called the 8 lucky buffet in indianapolis (the 8 is so close to lucky it looks like it says 'blucky'..see 8lucky). vin and i also called it the 'ain't' lucky buffet. it was awful. so bad, i don't want chineese food for a long time.

saddest part of that paragraph: we went there like three months ago, and i'm just writing about it now. to my loyal reading pool, sorry for my lack of entries lately. been busy doing nothing in particular, the worst kind of busy.

had an art sale yesterday, and made some money. i'm donating some of it to the local food pantry in town. there was a time i was unemployed, and they really helped me out, so i feel indebted to them. they do really good work. and it's not crappy food at all...it's fresh organic food.

i'm hating the drive to work. our offices moved to the north side of indy and tagged an extra 30 minutes on to my commute. i would carpool, but with my teaching sites being all around the city, i have to drive my own car to work.

speaking of cars, vinnie hit a deer a couple weeks ago and wrecked the toyota. he's fine, but the adventure has set us back to the tune of $800 in plastic debt. fucking hate the fiefdom that has been established out of credit. i fear that i will have to work for the rest of my natural life with no retirement. i'll have to do what i'll have to do.

i've scored big this chanukkah: motorhead's greatest hits, neil diamond's greatest hits, pixies surfer rosa, a couple apples in stereo offshoot cd's, a foot massager, monkey pajamas, burts bees products, two ween teeshirts, and a partridge in a israeli fig tree. just kidding about that one. vinnie has been awesome at spoiling me. he tells me that i need it. hmmmm maybe i do.

well, i gotta go get dressed for karate.
